Our elders
The primary eadership team at Life Links Church is called the Eldership. Besides Pastor Tony, the team comprises people of different ages and backgrounds that provide oversight for the spiritual direction and governance of the church.
This team works hard to provide excellent leadership and help our church become everything God meant it to be in its ministry to the city of Ararat:
Michael Peter
Michael is married to Martie, and they have two children. Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences, as well as a Bachelors degree in Optometry. He practises optometry in private practice, as he and Martie own the Specsavers franchises in Stawell and Horsham. Besides serving as an elder in our church, Michael is also our Treasurer and is involved in worship leading.
Bruce Bartlett
Bruce is married to Kara and they have four children. Bruce enjoys being involved in the local Ararat community. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Product Design Engineering) and is an engineer involved in the design of farm equipment. He enjoys producing merchandise for Australian farmers. Bruce has a strong desire to contribute to the church and is dedicated to using his gifts and abilities to further God’s kingdom. He enjoys playing bass guitar as part of the church worship team, and also makes a valuable contribution to our Leadership Team as the Church Secretary.
Peter Fleming
Peter is married to Heather. In addition to his years as a psychiatric nurse, he has had many years of experience as a pastor, and coordinates our New Hope service which is an 18+ service for ex-prisoners.
